Wild Turkey 101 Rye

Review:

The rub...

Very strong alcohol smell.  It smells like barrel and chocolate after the alcohol clears away.  Not the greatest of rub experience.  

The nose...

First impression is a woody note but a strong alcohol vapor smell.  There is a slight sweetness but it is buried under the alcohol.

The first sip...

No lip burn and a slight tongue burn.  Ok, in all honesty I can't taste anything...  Second sip...tongue burn this time, and then nothing else...guess it must be the sinus problems I am having...stay tuned for a repeat of this, I can't taste anything!

Is it worth the $?

Only purchased at the distillery, for $37.  It is another cool one to have in the collection, unique that it is 101 proof.  101 Bourbon from Turkey is terrible torture to me.  I wouldn't say that you have to have this but if at the distillery and have the money, snag one.
