Review: The nose…fumes…even in the wide mouthed tulip glass I use…caramel and some orange citrus…that’s what the wife smelled…I couldn’t smell anything until she said that, then the more I smell it, the more it does smell like sweet caramel…but I don’t get the orange.

The first sip…wow, this is a nice smooth finish…doesn’t change profile as it finishes either. The sweetness shines through and you don’t get a heavy rye flavor, more of a sweet profile of vanilla and caramel. Sip two…well, JDub and the wife got in the way of that one…nagging…it’s like playing cards with my brothers kids…Second second sip…rye but not cinnamon common to rye, it doesn’t burn the pallet and finishes smooth with a hint of sweetness to it. Third sip…oaky barn on the exhale…same profile as before, which means they are doing a good job of making a great products. Nice job Heaven Hill!

Is it worth the $? Yeah, it was $29.99 plus tax. I think it’s worth that. Heaven Hill usually doesn’t gouge customers for good products…with the exception of that Elijah Craig 23…it was not good…
