Woodford Reserve

Intro:

The art of making fine bourbon first took place on the site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark, in 1812. The perfectly balanced taste of our Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is comprised of more than 200 detectable flavor notes, from bold grain and wood, to sweet aromatics, spice, and fruit & floral notes.

Review:

Nose - Very faint fruity smell with a complimentary spice to it....like an easy pepper smell.

Rub - Oaky and bread....almost a touch of mown hay....strangely comforting

Taste - Next to no burn....very light amount of heat on the center of the tongue.  A very light cinnamon flavor with a citrus spice to it.  The typical vanilla flavor is the leading characteristic on the palate.  The finish is as smooth as the beginning sip.  A very easy drinking bourbon.  To be expected from a marquee distillery.

Is it worth the $?

I found this at the Navy Exchange on a terrific sale for $20.  I should have bought every bottle on the shelf...it is well worth that.
